David A. Lank

David is the deal guy.

David oversees company operations, including acquisitions, leasing, project management, marketing, design, community relations and strategic vision. Leveraging a storied career in transactional real estate, David is a self-described bootstrapper, ever-ready to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty engaging in creative problem solving, relationship building and utopian pursuits.

Prior to founding Sharpe, David represented the publicly-traded REIT, Cedar Realty Trust, in the leasing of their portfolio of grocery anchored shopping centers in New England, Virginia and Northeastern Pennsylvania - an aggregate GLA of over four million square feet. Prior to joining Cedar, David cut his deal-making teeth as a commercial real estate broker, first at Bialow Real Estate executing national rollout strategies for corporate chain retailers, then at Boston Realty Advisors focused on urban office and retail leasing and commercial investment sales throughout New England.

David received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. David volunteers with and supports some very cool organizations in various capacities, including: Seawalls Boston (environment and art), Greenway Council (park system), East Boston Main Streets (community business development), Esplanade (park system), NOAH CDC (affordable housing & community), United Way (greater good), Boch Center (performing arts), BIDMC (hospital), and Dana Farber (cancer research).

Evan Lank

Evan is the numbers guy.

Evan oversees all aspects of the firm’s financial modeling, focusing primarily on deal underwriting and analysis, debt structuring and monitoring, budget-tracking, investor correspondences, etc. Having served as one of TD Bank's lead CRE mortgage underwriters and portfolio managers the last 9+ years (over $1.6B in AUM), Evan analyzes each of Sharpe’s opportunities through a conservative institutional banking lens.  This risk management experience has helped maintain Sharpe’s ability to protect the downside while maintaining upside optionality.

With TD, Evan led the approval processes with respect to several notable construction projects such as Boston Properties’ Hub on Causeway mixed-use master development at North Station/TD Garden in downtown Boston, as well as Marriott’s new world HQ office development in Bethesda, MD.  Prior to TD, Evan served as Real Estate Manager for Bialow Real Estate, a national commercial real estate brokerage specializing in retail tenant rep and consulting.

Evan graduated the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance (with a focus in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics) from the Grainger School of Business.  Evan has served as a long-standing member of the following organizations: REFA, RELA, United Way (Community Builders Committee), and NAIOP.  Evan also serves as the Co-Chair of CJP’s Young Adult Philanthropy board, and a member of the Brigham & Women’s Hospital Community Fundraising Network Group.
